This year, not all 23 competitive categories were handed out during the live telecast as normal.
David Rubin, president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), the governing body behind the Academy Awards, announced in February that eight categories would be presented prior to the show. Those segments were edited down and cut into the live telecast.
Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer, and Regina Hall hosted this year's Academy Awards, marking the first time the Oscars have had a host since 2018, and the first time ever that three women have hosted the show. Check out the full winner's list below:
