Alicia Keys closed the curtain on day 2 of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia with a musical performance dedicated to the mothers of their slain children.

“Women are the answer. We have the power to ensure this country gets on the right path,” Keys said before singing “Superwoman” on Tuesday evening. “I dedicate this song to the Mothers of the Movement and all mothers who have lost their sons and their daughters to senseless violence. Until we deal with gun violence in this country, we can’t claim home of the brave.”

Mothers of the Movement: "We're going to keep telling our children's stories, and we're urging you to say their names ."

Earlier in Tuesday’s program, the mothers of the late Martin, Sandra Bland, Jordan Davis, Eric Garner, Hadiya Pendleton, Dontré Hamilton, Michael Brown, and Oscar Grant delivered powerful speeches honoring their children and calling for change.

Keys introduced her next song, “In Common,” by speaking out against Republican nominee Donald Trump without directly mentioning him. “It’s time to stand together and be united. We can’t let politics divide us. We got to show the world that bigotry and fear will never win because we have so much in common,” Keys said. “Tonight is a celebration because we are stronger together!” she added later. “The way forward is with acceptance and love. Let’s acknowledge our differences and celebrate them. Dr. King said, ‘The last word must always be love.’”

Keys Stuns With No Makeup

Keys, 35, looked stunning as she sang “Superwoman” on Day 2 of the DNC.

The singer wasn’t wearing any makeup and was still lovely as she bared her nude look.

She rocked a black and white scarf tied around her curls which were piled high on her head

The choice to go with a natural look is no surprise as Alicia has been going without makeup a since the early spring.

Demi Lovato, Paul Simon, and Andra Day were among the other musicians to perform at the DNC, which resumes Wednesday. Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is scheduled to speak Thursday night.
